Once you arrive in Compatsch, you’ll find trails ranging from short, gentle walks to steep climbs with plenty of elevation gain. There are no limits to your hiking holiday in South Tyrol. Our hiking tip for families: an easy tour to the Witches’ Benches on Mt Bullaccia/Puflatsch. Do you like to cool off after a hike? Then we recommend heading to nearby Lake Fiè/Völser Weiher – followed by a dip in the wonderfully cool water!

Looking for a faster pace?

Does hiking feel too slow? Is jogging more your speed? The wide Alpine meadows of Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm provide the perfect setting. Plus, the high altitude also boosts the effectiveness of your training. One standout route is the Paul-Tergat Track  both challenging and incredibly scenic. If you want a workout that’s just as effective but a bit gentler on the pace, try Nordic walking. It works almost all muscle groups – and gives you time to take in the stunning natural landscape. We highly recommend the Laranzer loop.
