At Martina Breakfast Lodge, nature is close to our hearts. So that our children and the generations after them can enjoy this green corner of South Tyrol just as we do, we work sustainably every day and keep refining how we do it. From low-emission ways of getting here to how we treat the people around us, sustainability shapes much of what we offer.
7 steps towards a green(er) future
If you’re travelling by electric car, several convenient charging stations are available (for a fee) right at Martina Breakfast Lodge. Please let us know in advance if you’d like to use the charging stations so we can reserve a spot for you. You can then activate the charger easily using your mobile phone.
Would you like to help us protect the environment? By opting for a low-emission arrival, you’re already making a big difference! Simply leave your car at home and travel by public transport. We’re happy to provide you with a Mobilcard for the free use of all public transport throughout South Tyrol before your arrival – just let us know in advance so we can send it to you in time.
Milk, eggs, jams, and more: Our hearty breakfast buffet features local delicacies, more than half sourced in South Tyrol. They are always fresh and seasonal – and you can really taste the difference!
South Tyrolean expertise comes first when it comes to cleaning, too: Hygan, a South Tyrolean manufacturer of cleaning and care products, makes everything it sells just a short distance from Kastelruth, holds TÜV SÜD certification to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 (quality and environmental management), and has been awarded the EU Ecolabel for its ECORAIN range. By carefully dosing these formulas, we minimise product use and reduce waste.
A photovoltaic system powers the hotel with solar energy, covering most of the daily electricity needs.
As part of our sustainability efforts, we encourage waste avoidance. Refill your bottle at the water dispenser to skip single-use plastic bottles. All waste at Martina Breakfast Lodge is carefully sorted, collected separately, and recycled. Please help us by separating your waste during your stay. Thank you!
